Privacy Policy

Pole Box ("we", "our", "the app") is a mobile application that helps pole dancers record, organize, and browse their training videos. We take the protection of your personal data very seriously.
1. Data We Collect
We collect the following data:
- Email address — used for account creation and authentication.
- Videos — video files you choose to sync from your device gallery to your Pole Box library.
- Thumbnails — automatically generated from your videos for display in the app.
- Video metadata — title, description, tags, categories, duration, recording date.
- Usage data — storage space used, plan type (free/pro).
- Purchase data — if you subscribe to a plan, your purchase history is managed by Google Play and RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment information (credit card, etc.).
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect any location data.
- We do not collect any contact information.
- We do not use any advertising trackers (no Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, etc.).
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
- We do not access your camera or microphone.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to:
- Authenticate you and secure your account.
- Store and display your videos in your personal library.
- Allow you to organize your videos with tags and categories.
- Calculate and display your storage usage.
- Manage your subscription and verify your access rights (free or pro).
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the app:
- Supabase — data and file hosting (infrastructure located in Europe). Your videos are stored in a private bucket, accessible only via temporary signed URLs.
- RevenueCat — in-app subscription management. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier linked to your account and your purchase history. It does not receive your videos or personal data. RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Billing — payment processing. Google directly handles your payment information. Google Privacy Policy.
5. Storage and Security
- All communications are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
- Your password is hashed and never stored in plain text.
- Authentication tokens are securely stored on your device (Secure Store).
- Your videos are stored in a private bucket — only you can access them.
6. Data Sharing
Your data is never sold or transmitted to third parties for advertising or commercial purposes. It is shared only with the technical providers listed above, strictly to operate the app.
7. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your videos at any time from within the app.
8. Account Deletion
You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data (videos, thumbnails, metadata) by contacting us at the address below. Deletion will be completed within 30 days.
9. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:
- Access — view the data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct your personal data.
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and data.
- Portability — obtain a copy of your data in a structured format.
10. App Permissions
- Gallery / Photos and Videos — to access your local videos and sync them to the cloud.
- Internet — to communicate with our servers (authentication, upload, sync, subscriptions).
The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or location.
11. Children
Pole Box is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with data, please contact us so we can delete it.
12. Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If significant changes are made, we will notify you through the app.
